Want to add heat-pump heating while keeping a suitable furnace? Central-Moov is one route we can assess. For an addition or rooms without useful ductwork, Moovair’s single-zone and Myriad systems give us a different way to deliver comfort.
We start with the spaces you want to improve and the heating equipment already in your Ottawa home.

Working with central ducts
A Central-Moov add-on brings heat-pump heating and cooling into a suitable furnace-and-duct system. We assess the furnace’s condition, the air it can move and the indoor coil and controls needed for the proposed combination.
This can be a useful direction when you want more electric heating but still have a furnace worth retaining. We explain how the two heat sources would share the work, including the furnace’s role when the home needs more heat than the selected heat pump can provide.
The outdoor unit is only part of the installation. Your recommendation needs to account for the coil, available space, duct airflow and control setup. We identify the work required before recommending that you keep the existing furnace.
An addition, an open living area and a group of bedrooms place different demands on a system. We look at doorways, room use and where an indoor unit can actually send air.
A defined comfort area
Morelis and Meridian are single-zone ductless options. We assess the room’s heating and cooling needs and a practical indoor-unit location. For an addition without a useful duct route, this lets us consider heating and cooling directly in that space.
If adjoining rooms are usually closed off, we account for that when recommending coverage. An open doorway and a closed bedroom door create different airflow conditions.
Several connected zones
A Myriad multi-zone system connects several compatible indoor units to one outdoor unit. Each zone has temperature control, while the indoor units share the outdoor unit’s available capacity.
We check the rooms together, including how much heating they may need at the same time. Indoor-unit locations, line routes and the approved equipment combination all shape the design. We also compare cold-weather output with the planned heating needs and explain any supplemental heat.
For more background on the range, read our Moovair heat-pump review.

When the project is summer cooling
If your heating already meets your needs, a Moovair Maelys air conditioner gives us a cooling-only option to assess. We review the outdoor condenser, matched indoor coil and the airflow available through your ducts.
We can compare that installation with adding a heat pump if you are also interested in electric heating. The useful comparison is the complete work and equipment each choice requires.
During a home assessment, our in-house team reviews the spaces, existing equipment and practical installation details, including outdoor placement, snow clearance, drainage and service access.
We then email a detailed quote with good, better and best equipment and price options. We explain the differences in layout, comfort and installation so you can decide without pressure.
Our local supply-house relationships help us source Moovair equipment and replacement parts. If a system needs attention later, we explain the diagnosis, parts availability and repair price. We also offer ongoing maintenance.
Considering a heat-pump incentive? We check the proposed combination against current rebate requirements and explain any approvals needed before installation.
Moovair’s covered R-454B heat-pump policy provides the original owner with 10-year limited parts and compressor coverage, subject to its conditions.
We confirm the policy for the equipment in your quote, including the installation records and maintenance it requires. Maelys air-conditioning coverage is checked separately.
Controls and accessories have their own terms, which can be shorter. Manufacturer coverage excludes labour and diagnostic charges. Any separately quoted labour protection is explained alongside the equipment warranty.
Central-Moov can add heat-pump heating and cooling to a suitable furnace-and-duct system. We assess the furnace, indoor coil, airflow and controls as a combination. Keeping the furnace depends on its condition and compatibility with the proposed installation.
A single-zone unit serves a defined area, and closed doors can limit how its air reaches adjoining rooms. We look at the floor plan and how you use those rooms before recommending one indoor unit or a layout with separate zones.
Myriad indoor units share the outdoor unit’s available capacity. We check the approved combination and the heating and cooling needs of the rooms together, including when several zones need conditioning at once.
Maelys is a central air-conditioning system for cooling. If you also want electric heating, we can compare a heat-pump installation with a Maelys cooling-only replacement and explain the equipment changes each route needs.
