Choose Mitsubishi around the spaces you want to heat and cool: Zuba Central for whole-home comfort through suitable ducts, or a ductless layout for individual rooms and zones.
AirZone installs and services Mitsubishi heat pumps in Ottawa. We start with how your home distributes air, where temperatures need attention and which rooms you want the new system to serve.

Choose the indoor layout
For a home served by central ducts, Zuba Central brings heating and cooling through an air handler and the home’s air-distribution system. The key question is whether those ducts can deliver the airflow the rooms need.
We review the air handler, ductwork, controls and supplemental heat together. Existing ducts give us a starting point; their condition and airflow help determine the installation scope.
Explore Zuba Central equipment or read our Zuba Central overview.
A ductless layout can bring heating and cooling to an addition, an open living area or selected rooms where extending central ducts is impractical. Each indoor unit needs a position from which air can reach the space it serves.
Wall-mounted, floor-mounted and ceiling styles across the Mitsubishi range give us different placement options. Available space, furniture, doors and the room’s heating and cooling needs guide the choice. We then select compatible indoor and outdoor equipment.
A multi-room plan also needs a capacity check across the connected spaces. We discuss which rooms need their own indoor unit and how the proposed layout will work when those rooms are in use together.
Plan for winter
Hyper-Heat identifies cold-weather heating capability across Mitsubishi equipment combinations. It belongs in the winter-performance discussion after we understand the layout you need. We check the exact indoor and outdoor combination rather than assuming every Mitsubishi system has the same cold-weather capability.
We compare the selected combination’s cold-weather heating output with the needs of the home or rooms it will serve. That comparison helps establish the role of any supplemental heat and how the controls should manage it. A product-family name alone cannot settle whether backup heat is needed.
Outdoor placement needs room for snow clearance, defrost drainage and service access. We also review line routes and electrical requirements so the indoor layout and outdoor installation can work together.

After the equipment choice
We review the Canadian warranty and eligible extended parts and compressor coverage for your selected Mitsubishi system. We explain the installation and registration requirements, including the 90-day registration deadline for eligible extended coverage, and distinguish parts coverage from labour and service costs.
Our in-house team explains the controls and maintenance needs of the installed system. We work with local supply houses for Mitsubishi equipment and replacement parts. When service is needed, we explain the diagnosis, parts availability and repair price before proceeding.

Details worth settling
A ductless indoor unit serves the space its airflow can reach. A hallway location should not be assumed to deliver the right temperature inside closed bedrooms. We look at the rooms separately and consider additional indoor units or another distribution approach where the layout calls for it.
The indoor units and outdoor equipment must form a compatible combination. For a multi-zone layout, we review the connected indoor units, the capacity available to each space and how the rooms will be used together. The number of indoor units alone does not tell you whether a system is sized appropriately.
Keep your installation invoice, indoor and outdoor model and serial numbers, warranty terms and registration confirmation together. These records help identify the equipment and applicable coverage when you need service. Ask us to clarify any registration responsibility or labour coverage before you accept the quote.
Book a home assessment to discuss whole-home heating and cooling, the rooms that need attention and your existing system. After the assessment, we email a detailed quote with equipment choices and good, better and best price options, and explain the differences.
