Midea Heat Pump & Furnace Installation in Ottawa

Midea logo

Available from AirZone HVAC Services.

A Midea installation starts with a complete equipment combination: the EVOX outdoor unit, the indoor equipment, the controls and a winter heating plan. We help Ottawa homeowners compare an electric heat-pump system with a suitable furnace-and-heat-pump arrangement.

Replacing a furnace or improving household hot water can also be part of the conversation. We make clear which equipment serves each job.

Read an EVOX G3 proposal as a complete system

The outdoor unit is the most visible part of the purchase. Its indoor match and controls are just as important to the recommendation. We identify these together when we propose EVOX G3 equipment.

Outdoor unit
The heat pump provides electric heating and cooling. We select its capacity around the home’s needs and the approved indoor combination.
Indoor equipment
An air handler, or a compatible furnace-and-coil arrangement, delivers conditioned air through the ducts. We review airflow and installation space with that choice.
Controls and winter heat
We explain how the system will operate in colder weather, the role of any furnace or auxiliary heat, and the controls included in the installation.

An air handler for the electric route

The EVOX G3 air handler is the indoor air-distribution part of a matched system. We review the available electrical supply, ductwork and any auxiliary-heating requirements before recommending this route.

A furnace where gas heat remains part of the plan

The MGV96 furnace offers two-stage gas heating and an ECM blower. We can assess it for furnace replacement or a compatible hybrid project. If you hope to keep a furnace already installed, we check its condition, airflow, coil and controls first.

If you are comparing a G3 proposal with the EVOX Hyper Heat R410A listing, we explain the complete combination being quoted. Generation names alone do not establish compatibility between indoor and outdoor equipment.

A separate household decision

Give hot water its own part of the plan

A Midea heat-pump water heater serves showers, taps and everyday hot-water use. It is separate from the equipment that heats and cools your rooms.

Tell us if the water heater is also due for replacement. We can assess it at the same visit while keeping its equipment choice and installation requirements clear.

What we look at

  • How much hot water your household needs and when demand is highest
  • The installation space and the requirements of the proposed water heater
  • Electrical supply and drainage for the installation

Your Midea recommendation, in writing

Our home assessment brings the heating load, duct airflow, electrical supply and existing equipment into the same decision. We discuss outdoor placement and the work required indoors, then explain the proposed winter heating arrangement.

After the visit, we email a detailed quote with good, better and best equipment and price options. You can see the proposed indoor and outdoor equipment, controls and installation work together. If hot water is part of the project, we explain that recommendation separately.

Match the warranty to each product

Eligible residential Midea heat-pump installations can receive 12-year limited parts and compressor coverage with registration within 60 days. We confirm the applicable policy for your quoted equipment and explain registration and maintenance requirements.

Furnaces, thermostats and water heaters have their own terms. Labour coverage is separate. Keeping those distinctions in the recommendation helps you understand what protection comes with each purchase.

A local contact for the installed system

Our in-house team installs and supports Midea equipment. We use our local supply-house relationships to source equipment and replacement parts, and explain availability and repair pricing when service is needed.

We also review current incentives for the proposed heat-pump combination. Water-heater incentives are checked separately, along with any approvals needed before installation.

Questions about Midea equipment combinations

Why does an EVOX G3 proposal include both outdoor and indoor model numbers?

The outdoor unit, indoor equipment and controls work as a matched system. Their exact combination determines the applicable performance and features. We identify those components together, including any auxiliary heat, so you can compare complete installation options.

Is the MGV96 another type of Midea heat pump?

The MGV96 is a gas furnace with two-stage heating and an ECM blower. It can be considered for furnace replacement or as part of a compatible hybrid heating design. We verify the coil, controls and equipment match before recommending it with a heat pump.

Can an older EVOX installation use G3 replacement equipment?

Compatibility depends on the exact indoor and outdoor models, refrigerant and manufacturer-approved combination. If you are comparing an older EVOX listing with G3 equipment, we explain which complete combination we are proposing.

Does a Midea heat-pump water heater heat the house too?

The Midea heat-pump water heater supplies domestic hot water for showers, taps and household use. Space heating and cooling are handled by separate equipment. We assess hot-water demand, installation space, electrical supply and drainage specifically for the water heater.

Does every Midea product have the same 12-year warranty?

Eligible residential heat-pump installations can receive 12-year limited parts and compressor coverage with registration within 60 days. Furnaces, thermostats and water heaters have their own terms, and labour coverage is separate. We confirm the policy and registration requirements for the equipment in your quote.
