Manufacturer: Broan

Model: EDGE BLP120E80NS-HW / BLP120E80NS-PC / BLP130E80NS-PC

The Broan EDGE is a compact energy recovery ventilator designed for installations where available space matters. Its low-profile cabinet and supported mounting configurations offer options for projects where a conventional larger air exchanger may be difficult to accommodate.

EDGE brings outdoor air into the ventilation system while exhausting indoor air and recovering energy. Its VIRTUO airflow technology, ECM motors and integrated display support setup and operation. The family includes power-cord and hardwired versions, with different duct-port sizes depending on the model.

AirZone can assess whether EDGE is suitable for your Ottawa home or residential project. Available space is only one part of that decision: required airflow, duct resistance, electrical provision and service access must also be considered.

Ask about EDGE for a space-conscious ventilation installation or a replacement assessment.

What makes EDGE different from a conventional ERV?

Its compact, low-profile form is intended to give installers more flexibility where space is limited. Suitability still depends on the ventilation requirements.

Is EDGE suitable for every house?

No. AirZone needs to assess airflow demand and duct resistance. A compact unit is not automatically the right choice for a larger home.

What is the difference between the EDGE models?

The listed versions differ in nominal capacity, port diameter and electrical connection. AirZone can recommend the appropriate configuration for the installation.

Can EDGE be installed vertically?

The manufacturer supports multiple mounting orientations. The installer must follow the exact model’s manual, including clearance and service-access requirements.

Does EDGE need filter maintenance?

Yes. Its filters and other serviceable components need maintenance according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The installation must leave adequate access.
