Congratulations to Marleen K. and her husband! Their new heat pump is now installed at their home in Findlay Creek, Ottawa.

Marleen entered our giveaway by filling out a ballot at the Ottawa Home and Garden Show. We have now completed the installation, bringing the prize from our show booth to her home.

Thank you to everyone who visited us, entered the draw, and took the time to talk with our team. We are pleased to share these installation-day photos and celebrate the completed upgrade with Marleen and her husband.

The Completed Upgrade

A New Heat Pump for Marleen’s Home

We installed a ProAir Arctic Pro heat pump. It replaces the home’s central air conditioner and works alongside the existing gas furnace, giving the household summer cooling and an additional source of heat.

This hybrid approach fits a home that already has a gas furnace and central ductwork. The heat pump can provide electric heating when conditions are suitable, while the furnace remains available for backup.

The giveaway package also included an ecobee Premium smart thermostat to help manage comfort and schedules.

  • New heat pump supplied and installed by our local team
  • Cooling and electric heating through the home’s ductwork
  • Existing gas furnace retained as part of the hybrid system
  • Smart thermostat included in the giveaway package

Why This Setup Fits

Cooling for Summer, More Options for Heating

Replacing the air conditioner with a heat pump adds heating capability while keeping the home’s existing furnace in the system.

Summer Cooling The heat pump takes over the central air conditioner’s role, cooling the home through its ductwork.
Electric Heating In heating mode, the system moves heat indoors when outdoor conditions and the home’s heating needs allow.
Furnace Backup The gas furnace remains available when colder weather or the system’s control settings call for it.
Smart Controls The ecobee Premium included in the prize supports temperature scheduling and everyday comfort management.
From Our Team to Your Home

Considering a Similar Upgrade?

If you have a central air conditioner and a gas furnace, a hybrid heat pump system may be an option when it is time to replace your cooling equipment.

We assess how the equipment will work together before recommending a system. That includes your home’s heating and cooling needs, ductwork, indoor coil, electrical supply, thermostat compatibility, and space for the outdoor unit.

Our directly employed technicians handle heat pump installation in Ottawa and surrounding communities. We also provide heat pump service to support the equipment after installation.

  • Compare a central AC replacement with a heat pump upgrade
  • Understand how your existing furnace would fit into the system
  • Review the equipment, installation work, and total quoted cost
