At a Glance: Our 2025/2026 Holiday Availability

It’s been another busy year keeping Ottawa comfortable, and as the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful customers.

From our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a restful holiday season filled with warmth, good food, and great company.

To allow our hard-working technicians and staff well-deserved time to rest and celebrate with their own families, we are adjusting our operational hours for the holidays. However, we know that Ottawa winters don’t take a holiday, and furnace breakdowns rarely happen at convenient times.

Here is a detailed breakdown of our schedule and how to access help if you need it.

If you are looking for a quick answer regarding our availability over the Christmas break, here is what you need to know:

AirZone HVAC will be taking a “Soft Close” from December 25th, 2025, through January 5th, 2026.

  • What this means: Our office is closed for regular bookings, quotes, and non-urgent maintenance during this period.
  • The Important Exception: We are OPEN for Emergency Service throughout the entire holiday break. If you have no heat, we have technicians on call to ensure your family stays safe and warm.

Detailed Holiday Closure Dates

We are initiating a “Soft Close” period to balance our team’s need for rest with our commitment to your safety.

Our “Soft Close” runs from Wednesday, December 25th to Sunday, January 5th.

During this 12-day period, our administrative offices will be closed for regular business operations. We will not be scheduling routine maintenance or standard service calls.

Specifically, please note the major statutory holiday closures:

  • December 25th (Christmas Day): Office Closed / Emergency Service Only
  • December 26th (Boxing Day): Office Closed / Emergency Service Only
  • January 1st (New Year’s Day): Office Closed / Emergency Service Only

Regular business operations will fully resume on Monday, January 6th, 2026.

We Are Open for Emergencies Only

We want to be crystal clear: We will not leave you out in the cold.

While our office is closed for regular business during the dates above, we have emergency HVAC technicians on standby 24/7.

How to Avoid a Holiday Heating Crisis

The best way to enjoy the holidays is to avoid needing us in the first place! Before the festivities begin, take five minutes to check these two things:

  1. Check Your Furnace Filter: A clogged filter is the #1 cause of emergency calls during cold snaps. If it looks dirty, change it now before stores close for the holidays.
  2. Clear Exhaust Vents: If we get a white Christmas in Ottawa, make sure snow and ice aren’t blocking the white PVC intake and exhaust pipes on the side of your house. Blocked vents will shut down your furnace as a safety precaution.

We hope you have a wonderful, safe, and very warm holiday season!
